New Public-funded Research Rules to have Far-reaching Implications
With the legislation, private institutions will no longer be able to tap into a university research base when public funding is also involved. . . .As a consequence, probably unintended, a sharp distinction could be created between publicly funded and privately funded research, which could lead to less funding and less R&D occurring.
